Privacy Policy
Slowdown Digital LLC operates Omniblock and its DNS filtering service. Contact hello@tryomniblock.com with privacy questions or requests.
Encrypted DNS
When you select Omniblock as your DNS provider, compatible apps send encrypted domain lookups to our resolver. We process domain names to apply your filters and answer the lookups. Our servers receive your connection IP address. We do not keep a log of individual DNS requests or send DNS queries to Apple or RevenueCat. Ordinary recursive DNS resolution can contact the authoritative name servers needed to answer a query.
When you use Check a Website, your phone removes paths, queries, and fragments before sending the domain. We process it to show which filter applies. Automatic protection checks use dedicated test domains. We use short-lived connection rate limits to protect the setup service against abuse.
Your DNS profile
We store a random profile identifier, filter choices, and domains you allow to apply your settings. When you create a profile, we verify Apple’s signed app download information and retain a hash of the app download identifier to limit duplicate profiles. We discard the signed information after verification. The app saves a private recovery code in your iPhone’s Keychain. Our server stores hashes for recovery, DNS access, and profile management. Keep a separate copy of your code in a password manager and keep it out of support messages.
We retain profile settings until you delete the profile. We keep daily request and block totals for up to 30 days. These totals do not list the sites you visit. Time and data savings are estimates based on those totals.
Subscriptions
Apple processes payments and manages your subscription. Omniblock uses RevenueCat to display plans, verify and restore membership, and handle changes. RevenueCat processes an app user identifier and purchase records for these purposes. Omniblock keeps membership status and a profile-to-purchase identifier while the profile exists. We do not receive your payment card details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.
Data on your iPhone
Safari applies content blocking on your iPhone. Omniblock does not receive visited pages or blocked Safari requests. Safari-only exceptions and the device motion used to animate the logo stay on your device. Omniblock does not use this data for advertising or tracking.
Delete your data or stop using DNS
In Omniblock, open Settings → DNS profile and recovery → Delete DNS profile. We revoke the DNS credential and erase the profile, saved DNS settings, and activity totals from the service. We request deletion of the associated RevenueCat record and show when that process has completed. Apple manages its own purchase records. Deleting the profile does not cancel the subscription. To cancel, use your Apple subscription settings.
To stop sending DNS lookups without deleting the profile, choose Automatic DNS in iPhone Settings or remove the DNS configuration in Omniblock. Switch other devices using the profile to Automatic before deleting. You can also contact us to request access to or deletion of your data. We use any information you send to respond to your request.
